ECB thinks "What can we do to stuff Somerset this week? I know, let's call Tom Banton up as cover, of course we won't actually play him even if we lose a batsman, just as we didn't play Bess, Leach or Overton when we needed decent bowlers"
Cicket fan says "But Bess plays for Yorkshire now."
ECB "Does he? We didn't know that, it's hard to keep up with all these changes when we're so busy trying to organise a competition for non cricket lovers."

Whilst I have no issue with using overseas players I Dom think they should be given a minimum time / match committmentbso we do not have world class players parachuted in for one game
