September 2019, hoping to travel to Southampton when I fell victim to a rather nasty virus - all the precise COVID symptoms but of course COVID hadn’t been recognised then, so landed up watching the live stream for the whole match on my sick bed.
Two passages of play stick in my mind - in both of the Hampshire innings we had them in trouble 6/57 and 6/45 but on both occasions failed to press home the advantage eventually losing the match by 136 runs, so hoping we will overcome this tendency (as in both second innings v Middlesex) and this will not be the case this year.

Just seen the squad sheet and I know this is not the final XI but is the thinking not to play Jack Leach or RdvM?
Delighted if (a) we score another 75+ before lunch and (b) Tom gets to a century today
